While the survey respondents reported taking advantage less than home-auto discounts, more respondents 2011 say they take advantage of discounts for safety features. As an example of the 2010-2011 there is a 2 percent increase in the discount homeowners have burglar alarms that include in their policies. Similarly, there is an increase of 1 per cent of the respondents who took advantage of the discount smoke alarms.
While the homeowner less claims to take advantage of discounted home-auto, they still seem to be more aware of their insurance premiums. In 2011, 67 percent claim that competitive pricing is reason number to choose their insurance policies today.
